ALEXANDRA GELHAR, assistant to stage director

Born and raised in a family of musicians, she studied musicology, finishing with her Master’s thesis on Harry Kupfers production 78 in Bayreuth, dealing with the subject „deliverance through self-destruction“. She assisted in Bayreuth at „Meistersinger“ (Wolfgang Wagner), „Tristan und Isolde“ (Heiner Müller), „Fliegender Holländer“ (Dieter Dorn) und „Parsifal“ with Christoph Schlingensief. Other assistances at the opera houses of Zürich, Bonn, Munich, Nuremberg and Köln.
