British conductor studied in Oxford and at the Royal Academy of Music in London and in Siena and Milan. He became prize winner of AIDEM in Florence and Marinuzzi in San Remo. He began his career at the Opera in Cologn, where he conducted 300 opera perfomances, he was Director of the Opera Studio where he is a regular guest conductor now....


Following this, he was Music Director in Oberhausen, Chief Conductor and Music Director of Wuppertal Opera, Music Director of the Eustin Opera Festival and GMD in Regensburg. Chief Conductor at State Opera in Prague, where in January 2015 he will conduct Wagners „Tannhäuser“.


He gave guest performances in Berlin (Konzerthaus), Dresden (Semperoper), Hannover, Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden, Dortmund, Bremen, Nuremberg and Basel, as well as Barcelona, den Haag, Tokio, at the Festivals of Edinburgh, Schwetzingen, Wiesbaden, Tenerife, HongKong and Perth.


His repertoire comprises Baroque music to contemporary music and he recorded several CD-productions, lately Fortners „Bluthochzeit“ and complete production of „Tiefland“ and „Bohème“ (Leoncavallo). He performed as guest conductor the US premiere of „La porta della legge“, „Il barbiere di Siviglia“ in Bogotà and Rosenkavalier at the State Opera in Prague.
